2. Usage
- Install patch like every other
- Create directory: UpdateFS in memory stick/other
2a. Copying files
- Let me explain with an example:
--- If we want to copy files to tpa/preset/custom, then we need to create: tpa/preset/custom in UpdateFS
--- Put all files to memory stick/other/UpdateFS/tpa/preset/custom
--- Run ScriptGen.exe on PC and write: tpa/preset/custom and press enter.
--- Application will create UpdateScript.bin. Copy this file directly into UpdateFS folder.
2b. Reading single file from FS
- Let's download Emersion_desktop.swf from tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash
--- Create tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash in memory stick/other/UpdateFS
--- Put there empty file with name: Emersion_desktop.swf.read (you need to add .read after file extention)
--- Run ScriptGen.exe, write tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash
--- Put UpdateScript.bin in memory stick/other/UpdateFS
--- File will be extracted to other/FS_Output/other_files/
2c. Reading whole directories
- Let's download IFS/settings/acoustic from phone
--- Create IFS/settings/acoustic in UpdateFS
--- Put there empty file called read.dir
--- Run ScriptGen.exe and enter IFS/settings/acoustic
--- In FS_Output, we will find IFS/settings/acoustic and all files in this directory.
2d. Removing files
- Let's remove BlockBreaker.jar from tpa/preset/system/ams for example
--- Create tpa/preset/system/ams in UpdateFS
--- Put there empty file called BlockBreaker.jar.del (you need to add .del after file extention)
--- Run ScriptGen.exe and enter tpa/preset/system/ams
--- File will be removed
- After placing UpdateScript.bin in UpdateFS directory, select UpdateFS option from menu (or hold volume up button on standby - only if you're using jjpatcher).
3. Warning! You can made as many operations as you want by once. ScriptGen updates UpdateScript.bin, it's not overwriting old data. So you can read whole folders, remove and copy some files at once
Also you can't play with /boot directory.
Maybe it looks strange, but after some usages, it's getting very simple. And it's pretty fast.
