Hi developers...
I'm using Satio (symbian) for 25 days. In these 25 days, I searched a method to change graphic files of this nice phone..
But the methods that I found was not as I wish. So I've produced my own method...

With my method, you will be able to edit your graphic files as simple as A2v3 phone users edit their IC files..
It is very simple. Let me explain...

First of all, some basics:
In symbian phones, much of graphic files are contained in MBM files, i.e. Multiple Bit Map Files..
You can understand this MBM format like this: "More than one bit map files in only one file" format..

Much of Nokia users use a program called XnView. But belive me that, the things you are able to do
with that program is so limited. For example I want to use Photoshop program, but I can not
do it with XnView program. So we will use a program called MBM tool..

Lets's start
In this example I will change the graphic files of camera..
Graphic files of camera are contained in: Z:\Resource\Apps\secamera.mbm, secammenubar.mbm and secamsetup.mbm

Before starting our work, I suggest you to create a patch for making those files to be readed from memory card. (if you are able to do it)
Why? Because if you want to use those files with "C2Z patch method", you must restart your phone every time.
But if you carry those files from Z driver to E drive, your settings in MBM files will be activated immediately

In this example, I made a simple edit on secameraapp.exe, SeCamControls.dll and SeCamCapControllers.dll to make these files read MBM files from memory card:



Ok. now let's edit, for example, secammenubar.mbm.
1. Open this file by using MBMtool.exe
Program will extract and list all the BMP files in MBM file:



2. Let's go on. To where did MBMtool.exe exract our MBM file? Simple: to TEMP folder.
Open TEMP folder and you will see all the images exracted:




Now let's check 046.bmp




Now let's make a simple edit on it:




Ok. Let's Compile our BMP files to a MBM file again:




The last step: Send it your phone by using C2Z patch method or my patch method.
Remember. If you use my patch method, new settings will be immediately activated.
So you do not need to restart your phone.

And this is the result when I open my Camera:
