calendar alarm - k800 r8bf003 v0.2you need to apply the patch, and also run the elf (preferably as a daemon). slightly ugly solution, but it finally fixes one big thing i didn't like about my sony phone, so i'm happy.
when a calendar reminder is triggered, instead of just beeping and vibrating once, it will now keep doing so every 10 seconds until a button (joystick click/left or right softkey/back arrow) is pushed.
new (27/03/08) version 0.2:
- visible in bookmanager, and can be killed by bookmanager. message on startup (unless started as a daemon) and exit. does not allow more than one instance to run simultaneously.
- checks if a phone call is currently in progress, and if so, does not beep or vibrate (you will still get the single beep that is standard without the elf running, but the elf will not retrigger every 10 seconds). this check requires an updated DYN_CONST.bin - the elf will still work with an older .bin but will not be able to tell when a call is in progress.
(these improvements are all thanks to den_po's
example code)
*** the patch is the same as in version 0.1 so does not need to be updated if you have already installed it.
the patch should be easy enough to port to other db2020 phones (and maybe others), but it uses LAMPKEY_PRESSED_EVENT to communicate with the elf, so it isn't suitable for phones that actually have a lamp key. this is something i may make configurable in a later version, so that you can pick an event that isn't already used by your phone. the time between beeps is also something that might become configurable at some point.
i am attaching the necessary updated DYN_CONST.bin file for k800 - this may work on some other db2020 phones but not all.
